Exercise Therapy

With the patient in the supine position, place the goniometer at the base of the foot in the coronal plane with the center at the base of the heel. Instruct the patient to rotate his thigh medialward while following the ball of the foot with one arm of the goniometer. The normal Range is 35 – 45 degrees or greater from the 0 or neutral position. The muscles Involved in Action Nerve Supply are Adductor longus, brevis, magnus Obturator, Gluteus minimus, medius Superior Gluteal, Tensor fasciae latae Superior Gluteal, Pectineus Femoral and Gracilis Obturator.
